The Sims 3: University Life is the ninth expansion pack for The Sims 3. After rumors circulating through listings and ratings, Electronic Arts announced the expansion pack an hour before the live chat was broadcast on January 8, 2013.[2][3] There is also a limited edition available which includes the Partaeus Maximus statue. University Life was released on March 5, 2013 in North America, March 7, 2013 in Europe, and March 8, 2013 in United Kingdom.

University Life's theme is college, similar to that in The Sims 2: University, thus giving the Sims a "college experience" while at university. It has brought some returning features from The Sims 2's expansion packs, as well as introduced new features for The Sims 3. The pack and its world are Seasons-compatible.
